We established our winery in 2005 with the purchase of 70 acres of land in Zillah, WA. It was a fulfillment of a lifelong desire to farm a vineyard and create a winery. In 2007, we planted 5 acres of vines consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Malbec. By 2010, we were an estate grown winery producing 250 cases of red wine annually.

Ramseyer Vineyards Vintage Five 2009, Yakima Valley
Supple, rich and expressive, this is vibrant with acidity against ripe cherry and raspberry fruit, with earthy notes and an undertone of mint. Shows depth and carry on the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec. Best from 2014 through 2020. 320 cases made.

Ramseyer Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
In just a few short years, Ramseyer has gone from unknown commodity to up and coming superstar. John’s latest release is a textbook example of Yakima Cabernet that just keeps getting better and better. When folks call from out of state and want a representative of Washington Cab, this is one of the first bottles we grab. Bravo!

Ramseyer Vineyards Vintage Six 2010, Yakima Valley
Fresh and vibrant, with velvety tannins around a lively core of red berry, peppermint and cocoa flavors that linger enticingly on the expressive finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec. Drink now through 2020. 225 cases made.
Ramseyer Yakima Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
John Ramseyer keeps hitting it out of the park here. Last year, it was our pick for ‘Wine of the Year’ and this year surpassed even that wine. The big bummer was the short 2010 harvest so there was not as much wine to sell. Damn. The next release is May, so get in line now.
