Winemaker

Mike Scott

The Team

Mike Scott, Vintner:

Mike has a passion for the ag industry and has established himself as a leader in his field. Deeply rooted in the Wenatchee Valley, Mike’s vision for his winery is different than most. He hopes to keep the winery fairly small- at least as wineries go- to ensure quality and keep the focus on having fun. He truly enjoys sharing his wines with friends and allowing the “fruits of his labor” to be a part of celebrations.

Judi Scott, Technician:

Judi comes by her title of “winery technician” honestly. With a background in hospital laboratory work, Judi has a keen eye for the logistics of winemaking. Judi’s role is to pay careful attention to PH balances, sugar levels and acidity and of course, run the cash register.

Tim Scott, Pest Management:

Oldest son Tim has built a reputable career in the pest management and irrigation fields. And, he’s brought his wealth of knowledge to the newest family business. Tim keeps a close eye on controlling pests, fertilizing the delicate vines and maintaining irrigation levels.

Chris "The Wine Peddler" Scott:

Chris is now employed at Quincy Foods, LLC as the General Manager. You still may see him time to time working the tables or pouring.

Becky Scott, Artisan/Decorator:

To say daughter-in-law Becky has a creative flair would be the understatement of the year. Her work can be seen throughout the facility- from the wrought iron sign at the entrance to directional signs scattered throughout the family’s orchards to the paint used on the walls of the wine tasting room.

Grace Scott, Namesake:

To have a wine named after you is quite an honor. To have it happen at the tender age of five makes you a legend. Granddaughter Grace Scott is the proud namesake of Grace’s Gewurtztraminer. Though her involvement in the winery is limited to lending her name to a specific wine, we think you’ll be seeing more and more of Grace in years to come.

Cole Scott, Namesake:

Our eldest grandson is inspiration for a new red blend release named Cole's Collage. Now there are still three uncelebrated grand children awaiting a named wine connection.

Practices & Techniques

It is interesting to contemplate the complexity of wine. Soil, water, heat, cold, wind, leaves, shoots, canes, fruit, brix, acid, harvest, crush, fermentation, aging, oak, label, foil and cork all contribute to the flavor and body of wine. More than a drink, more than refreshment, it is an experience, a journey.
