History

Bluebell Vineyard Estates Ltd, which was established in 2004, is devoted to the production of Quality English Sparkling Wine made exclusively by the méthode traditionelle. Such is their quality, they immediately joined the elite ranks of the UK’s premier champagne-style wines on first release in 2007.

The Team

Bluebell employs a core staff of just 10 people.

Practices & Techniques

Our scrupulous adherence to the méthode traditionelle is supported in the vineyard by our selection of classic Champagne varieties (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier) and our policy of minimal intervention in the use of chemicals and herbicides.

Awards

UK Vineyard Association 2012 Gold Medal for Bluebell’s Hindleap Seyval Blanc and the UKVA 2011 Gold Medal/ Bob Lindo Trophy for our Brut Rosé amongst the many tributes paid to Bluebell’s Hindleap range. In 2012 Jancis Robinson selected our Hindleap Blanc de Blancs as one of her favourites from over 90 sparkling French & English wines. This wine and our 2009 Rosé were both awarded Silver Medals in the 2012 International Wine & Spirits Challenge (IWC).
