Ansted & Co.

Our ultimate aim is to make wines that reflect their origins, which includes, where the grapes are grown, the variety and my own sense of style. We want our wines to have intensity, complexity and harmony. Our approach is to focus first and foremost on the vineyard which then allows me to take a hands-off approach with the winemaking.

The Team

From the big contributors like Rob Taylor, who comes out from Canada every vintage to work like a slave for several months, Tim Roberston the dedicated grape grower and Bil my wife to the smaller players like Michael Dhillon at BINDI who lent us some fermentors for the 2009 vintage and Adam Marks at BRESS who lent us a destemmer the same year. There are many people who have been, and continue to be, involved in this project who don't have their name on the label but deserve recognition. They are the CO. that keeps the project going.
