Maintenance Manager


Nickel and Nickel has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Manager to support all production and facility equipment and maintain Nickel & Nickel in top condition. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Operates, maintains, and responsible for all production equipment and the facilities operating systems, including but not limited to water systems, wastewater, electrical, refrigeration, heating, boilers, propane, and compressed air • Performs minor and routine repairs including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities • Ensures compliance with state, federal, and local regulatory agencies • Provides lighting maintenance on incandescent, fluorescent, halogen, metal halide, HPS and emergency fixtures • Makes recommendations to management when contract work is needed • Performs other duties as assigned by manager QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum of five years related experience • D1 Certification preferred • Valid CA DL and clean DMV record • High school diploma or equivalent • Certification in maintenance manufacturing environment (food/beverage and packaging/processing industry) preferred • Knowledge of winery-related refrigeration systems, electrical systems, and winemaking equipment desired • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and industrial maintenance a plus • Spanish language skills a plus • Strong background in vehicle and machinery repair required • Commitment to excellence and high standards • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills • Proven ability to manage priorities, workflow and meet deadlines • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm • Strong communication skills • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels • Demonstrated ability to calculate figures PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Walk, sit, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb, and stand • Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds • Ability to work in inclement weather • Ability to work nights and/or weekends during the harvest season or as business requires WORK ENVIRONMENT: • A percentage of work time may be spent in a wine warehouse or cellar where temperatures are cool and noise level is usually moderate
