Winemaker

Timothy Milos:

Dedicated to producing terroir driven wines, Timothy has honed his craft of making wine since 1997. At Viluko Viluko VIneyards, Tim uses tradtional winemaking techniques and a minimalist approach in order to reveal the distinction of each unique block.

Though a self-effacing and modest individual, Tim has built a reputation for making many of California’s finest wines. With over 18 years of winemaking experience, Tim recently received multiple 95 point ratings from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. In addition, Tim was awarded an extraordinary 97 point score and a spot in the Top-100 wines from both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.

It is Tim's intimate knowledge of our vineyard that guides the Viluko team in farming to perfection. Tim’s standard of excellence, and superb palate make him a tremendous asset.

The Team

Pedro and Karen Arroyo:

As proprietors and residents, Pedro and Karen live, learn and lead at the Viluko Estate. Each day presents a new opportunity, a new life experience to add to their list which has been built together while raising four beautiful children.

Pedro grew up on his grandfather's family ranch and vineyard in Chile. His love of nature and the outdoors is at the heart of his work at Viluko Vineyards. This new chapter pays homage to his heritage as he creates a legacy for his family today.

Karen, a native Californian, drives the sustainable practices across all forms of farming at Viluko Vineyards and Farms, including reinvigorating the surrounding land with native plant restoration.

Practices & Techniques

The rich tapestry of native plant and animal life inspires our family's dedication to preserve the integrity of this raw and illustrious landscape. We are commited to farming organically and in 2005 achieved organic certification by the CCOF.

Estate Vineyards / AVA

The vineyards at Viluko ascend from Mark West Creek and a valley of old plum orchards and walnut groves to the crests of two distinct hilltops. We designed the individual vineyard blocks to conform to the natural back drop of fir and live oak.

"A stunning Mayacamas Mountains vineyard site" says winemaker Timothy Milos.

Viluko Vineyards is carpeted with a mix of heterogenous soil types from both volcanic material and alluvial uplift creating a complex foundation for a great vineyard.
