Sonoma Coast Wineries
California is one of my favorite states in the country. The gorgeous coastline, high mountain peaks, and stunning ocean views have always sucked me in. I can picture it now, sipping on a glass of Sonoma wine and taking in the golden sunset as it sinks into the ocean.
On one of my recent trips to Cali, I made it a point to visit Sonoma Coast wineries. I have always loved wine, and thought it would be an excellent idea to take a few tours of the well-know California wineries that make California wine so highly esteemed. I grabbed a pamphlet and went to town picking out the closest wineries in the Sonoma Coast to the areas I wanted to stay.
My first, and most obvious choice, was Sonoma Coast Vineyards. They are located just five miles from the Pacific Ocean and not only offer delicious wine but also enjoy a breathtaking landscape surrounding the vineyard. I knew that most Sonoma Coast wineries are on the far west-central part of California so I was pleased I found this particular vineyard. I would highly recommend this winery to anyone who is considering a tour of California wineries. Put this one on your list.
Next up, I choose to take a trip up to the western most part of Sonoma County to check out one of the most prestigious wineries in Sonoma Coast. That winery is the Hirsch Vineyard. Stunning, and truly inviting, I enjoyed my tour of the Hirsch vineyard and sampled several delicious tasting wines during my tour. The staff was friendly and the wine was impeccable.
Obviously, if you are looking for the best wineries in Sonoma Coast a quick Google search will give you a few excellent choices but I would recommend taking a look at more professional lists to give you the best options. Despite what some people may say, there is such a thing as bad California wineries, but if you know where to look you should have a wonderful time during your stay in Sonoma County.
