California has long been a go to destination for wine lovers, but every now and again something happens that give one particular region a little leg up on the others. Each trail offers something a little different, which is exactly what you want if you plan on spending an extended amount of time in the region.

Santa Barbara does tend to get particularly busy at certain times of the year, but there are a number of little towns and quaint destinations along 101 that offer a nice way to get away from it all, whilst still getting to sample some wines from the region. The city of Santa Barbara is as beautiful as it appears on the silver screen, and is home to some of the best sights, sounds, and tastes that California has to offer.
